Friday Faves 3.29 – The Fitnessista

[ad_1]

Hi friends! Happy Friday! How was the week? Ours was a whirlwind, but SO much fun.

I had our choir performance last Friday, drove Liv to Phoenix for her dance competition early Saturday morning, spent the night, the Pilot and I P drove up, I rushed home for our Sunday performance while they stayed in Phoenix for Day 2 of dance competition,

I took the shuttle from Tucson to Phoenix early Monday morning, they swooped me at the airport, we drove to Anaheim for Disney fun for a couple of days, then to San Diego for a couple of days. We’re finally back home after a super fun adventure and spring break!

It definitely felt good to sleep in our bed last night and I’m looking forward to a low-key Easter weekend with the fam. I’d love to hear what you’ve been up to!

It’s time for the weekly Friday Faves party! This is where I share some of my favorite finds from the week and around the web. I always love to hear about your faves, too, so please shout out something you’re loving in the comments section below.

Friday Faves 3.29

Spring Break vacation:

Some pics from the Disney and San Diego adventures:

We had our usual Goofy’s Kitchen dinner (so good and such a fun way to kick off the trip!)

With my best girls:

These kids RALLIED. We shut down Disneyland and got back to the hotel at 1am. We then proceeded to sleep until 10am the next day lol.

This dreamy vegan ice cream from Moniker / Craft Creamery in Point Loma:

(I loved it so much, I ordered 8 pints online. It’s organic soy ice cream, and while the ingredients aren’t the best I’ve seen, it’s ice cream. The link to the creamery is here if you want to treat yourself!)

Beach time on Coronado:

Always the Best Drink Ever, half sweet:

and the best poke we’ve had in San Diego from It’s Raw in Point Loma:

We also had an amazing dinner of OB Noodle House takeout at Betsy’s house with our Kleiger fam.

It was the perfect trip!

Read, watch, listen:

Still loving this book and am absolutely sucked in. It might be my second favorite of hers, after The Nightingale. It’s beautifully written and the story is captivating; definitely check it out if you enjoy historical fiction.

What are your five most rewatchable movies?

Hope and encouragement for hard times.

Fitness, health, + good eats:

21-day Dr. Cabral detox recap and recipes21-day Dr. Cabral detox recap and recipes

EquiLife is having their Founder’s Sale right now and you can stack my code FITNESSISTA10 onto current offers (products only; it doesn’t work on labs since they’re heavily discounted during the sale)

Here are some of the things I’d recommend:

The 7-day detox. It’s perfect for a little “spring cleaning” and a great way to help remove toxins and restore deficiencies, while giving your liver a little extra love. This was my introduction to EquiLife (along with my IHP certifications) and I’ve been a fan ever since. My clients have also had incredible success with this detox!

Universal Binder! I love this before sauna sessions, hot yoga, or when I’m going to eat something I don’t typically consume (like alcohol or fried food).

Full-spectrum magnesium. I take this every night and sleep like a baby 🙂 It’s improtant to use a balanced magensium which includes different forms. They all have a different purpose and work together.

Daily Nutritional Support. I have this every day, as a protein pudding (mixed with some Truvani or NOW Foods protein), in my oatmeal, or in a smoothie. It’s packed with vitamins and nutrients and makes an awesome daily multivitamin.

The best weighted blanket. It’s so cozy and can also help protect from EMFs.

Big 5 labs and Starter Kit discount. This is one of the only times that the five major labs are discounted together. You can purchase the labs with those links, and if you’d like me to be the one to go over them with you, please email me before ordering (gina@fitnessista.com subject LABS). I can include my Vitality platform for you, a coaching call, and can make sure your results are tracked to me.

Deviled egg potato salad.

Easter recipe ideas!

Fashion + beauty:

Beautycounter clean eau de parfum is HERE. This launch is 10 years in the making and they didn’t want to launch fragrance until they could do it right. With Beautycounter, this means with the cleanest possible ingredients and rigorous testing for safety. The new scents are so beautiful, and so different (!), with excellent staying power. Get a discovery set here for $40 and you can try them all!

Happy Friday, friends! Have a wonderful weekend and I’ll see ya soon!

xoxo
