The Janet Goodwin Educational Grant for dental nurses
[ad_1]
The Oral Health Foundation and the British Association of Dental Nurses are very excited to launch the Janet Goodwin Educational Grant – a bursary to help dental nurses with their course and examination fees.
In memory of the late Janet Goodwin, the grant is open to both dental students and registered dental nurses seeking post-graduate qualifications.
Applicants can apply for funding up to £500 to put towards dental nurse courses and examinations.
Former dental nurse Janet Goodwin was a past president of the Oral Health Foundation. During her time at the Oral Health Foundation, Janet played an influential role in helping steer the trustees to make informed decisions about the direction and future of the charity. She believed strongly in improving people’s experiences, information and knowledge of dental health and best practices.
As a bonus, successful applicants will each receive a signed copy of Tits Up – a wonderful and insightful book by Janet’s friend, Carol Patterson, about her own journey through breast cancer – the disease that also ultimately took Janet Goodwin’s life.
