Celebrity Big Brother UK is back after a more than five-year absence. The cast of the first season of ITV was revealed by AJ Odudu and Will Best during the live launch on, Monday, March 4.

ITV resurrected the Big Brother format in 2023 and following positive results announced a celebrity edition of the reality competition. The names of the contestants had been kept under wraps and weren’t officially revealed until the start of the show.

Sharon Osbourne was the first to enter the house and was tasked with putting three celebrities in the danger zone and would follow up with selecting one of them who would face eviction via the public vote. Big Brother reunited Osbourne with her The X-Factor UK co-star Louis Walsh, who would help her judge the housemates as they come in.

Other celebrity housemates included Love Island UK Season 8 and contestant of The Traitors US Season 2 Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu, Coronation Street actor Colson Smith, Kate Middleton’s uncle Gary Goldsmith, Broadway star Marisha Wallace, The Real Housewives of Cheshire alum Lauren Simon, Netflix’s Heartstopper actor Bradley Riches and former This Morning co-host Fern Britton.

After all the housemates entered the house, Osbourne put in the ring of fire Gary, David and Zeze.

Odudu and Best returned to host the ultimate social experiment as the celebrity houseguests become isolated from the outside world. Leaving luxury behind, the celebrities will take part in nominations and tough tasks with cameras capturing their every move. Who will win the hearts of the nation, go all the way to the finish line, and be crowned the winner?

Celebrity Big Brother UK will be followed each night by Celebrity Big Brother: Late & Live – giving viewers additional exclusive content. The companion show will be the only place to watch the famous evictees’ first live interview alongside features that include access to the camera runs, special guest commentary and debate.

The last edition of CBBUK aired between August 16, 2018, through September 10, 2018, on UK’s Channel 5. Hosted by Emma Willis, the season saw Ryan Thomas crowned as the winner after 26 days in the house with Kirstie Alley taking second place.
