(More Than) 20 Halal Makan Places at Jewel

You know and I know that the airport has taken on a whole new definition over the past few years. Even if we can’t travel, there’s still so much to see, experience and MAKAN for sure 😝 Jewel Changi Airport has become a big favourite thanks to its scenic views, state-of-the-art technology and numerous retail therapy options.

But I am here to remind you that there is PLENTY to enjoy when it comes to makan at Jewel Changi Airport! With more than 15 Halal-certified options, you’ve got plenty to choose from 😁

ElFuego by Collin’s has been a really fan favourite since it opened at Jewel Changi Airport. With its awesome selection on the menu, it’s easy to see why! Premium ingredients plus award winning recipes equals a dining experience that tastes as great as it looks 😍 Prepare to snap a few for the ‘Gram for sure!

Their signatures include the Charcoal Grilled Australian Angus Tomahawk Steak, Hokkaido Scallop Aburi, Seared Australian Baby Lamb Rack and Live French Bouchot Mussels.

I’m sure y’all know by now that Jinjja Chicken is one of my all-time favourites! They’ve got such an extensive menu of K-food favourites that I don’t even know where to begin. The best part is that they’re always adding new items to the menu so keep a look out and you might find your new favourite!

Their signatures include the classic Jjangmyeon, Rabokki, Tteokbokki, Ramdon, Korean Fried Chicken Wings and the latest addition to the menu – Chicken Ramyeon! (PRO TIP: Always add the Chicken Cutlet. You’re welcome.)

The name A&W is surely no stranger to almost everyone reading this. A classic that made its return to our shores last year and still sees snaking queues! They’ve opened a couple of outlets with more on the way but the Jewel Changi Airport outlets remains a hot fave.

Their signatures include the legendary Coney Dog, Root Beer Float, Mozza Burger and Waffle with Ice-Cream.

There’s no better place than Monster Planet to get your Japanese Kare on! Not only do they specialize in this specialty Japanese dish (plus it’s so hard to find a Halal Japanese Curry in Singapore!) but they’ve got something on the menu to suit everyone’s taste. Diners of all ages will be spoiled for choice with the dishes on the menu here.

Their signatures include the Monster Combo Curry, Monster Premium Beef Steak Curry, Chicken Katsu Burger and Curry Ramen. Don’t forget to choose your SPICY level!

The menu at Saap Saap Thai features some of the most classic Thai delights but I think it’s the comfort food factor that keeps up coming back for more. This is one of those places where I personally have trouble choosing just one dish to eat 😝 My personal faves are the Beef Brisket & Tendon with Rice and the Grilled Chicken Noodles.

Their other signatures include their signature Thai Crispy Chicken, Australian Beef Thai Boat Noodles. Tom Yum and Mango Sticky Rice

You may see some similar dishes from sister restaurant Swensen’s on the menu but Earle Swensen’s definitely has its own signature dishes you can’t miss. Check out the  Boston Lobster Roll, Earle’s Poultry Combo, Charbroiled Wagyu Minute Steak and of course – ICE CREAM 😇

Now we just have to hope they bring their signature hand-stretched pizzas from Vivo to Jewel soon ✌🏽

If you’re looking for your Vietnamese street food fix, look no further than So Pho! They’ve got what is most probably the most extensive Halal-certified Vietnamese menu out there today! Check out signatures like their signature Beef Pho, Summer Rolls with Soft Shell Crab, Bahn Mi and Vietnamese Drip Coffee!

Super popular brand Auntie Anne’s was finally certified Halal recently! Their pretzels are so famous and for good reason too! Choose from a wider assortment of flavours and get them hot and fresh! Don’t forget the dips!

Stuff’d is famous for their tasty servings that kinda strike a balance between tasty and healthy if that makes any sense 😂 Take your pick from their signature Daily Bowl, Burrito, Quesadilla and my personal fave – the Kebab.

This Poulet spin-off brand’s menu features all-new French sweet & savoury dessert menu including the likes of Vanilla French Toast, Mixed Berries with Matcha Ice Cream Crepe and Mixed Seafood Galette among others. You will also find many of your favourite French dishes including their Signature Roast Chicken with Mushroom Cream Sauce and Pan-Fried Ribeye with Mushroom Gratin at the new outlet

NOTE: Poulet Bijou is currently undergoing the Halal-certification process. Poulet has 9 other Halal-certified outlets islandwide with this new eatery at Jewel Changi Airport being its 10th.

Still craving for some Thai food? Sanook Kitchen offers some really tasty offerings at some really affordable prices! Classics like Thai Basil Chicken, Mango Salad and Thai Style Steamed Fish are always a big hit. I’ve got my eye on their special Thai Hot Pot the next time we get to visit.

Get your fix of authentic hand-pulled noodles at Nuodle! This popular brand offers a limited menu at this smaller kiosk at Jewel (with limited seating!). Enjoy some of their signature hand-pulled La Mian!

Looks like a spot to get your Italian food favourites! The menu at Mamma Mia Trattoria e Caffe boasts popular favourites like assorted Pasta dishes, Caesar Salad, Baked Rice and desserts too!

If you’re up for some Cinnamon Buns, be sure to check out RROOLL! They’ve got a wide range of rolls for you to choose from including classics and some pretty interesting flavours too! I highly recommend the classic Cinnamon Roll and the Apple one too!

Can’t go wrong with some refreshments from The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf – one of the top favourite Halal-certified coffee spots for sure! 🙌🏼 Not only can you get your fix of both coffee (and non-coffee refreshments), they also have a wide variety of pastries, snacks and even pasta and other dishes too. A great spot to chillax and rest your feet while exploring and enjoying Jewel.

If a sweet snack is in order, Dunkin’ Donuts has got you covered! Quite a selection of their signature donuts to choose from. I’m gonna say it right now – my favourites are the Bavarian Filled and the classic Strawberry Filled Donuts 😝 Wash it all down with some Iced Coffee for extra kick!

The legendary Old Chang Kee needs no introduction. A plethora of snacks await you including their signature Puffs (Curry ‘O is still my #1 top fave ngl) and assorted snacks like Sotong and Fish Balls, Popiah, Squid Head, Fried Chicken Wings and so much more. They also have some special breakfast items like Fried Bee Hoon and Nasi Lemak too so be on the lookout.

Still the top choice for their signature subs – Subway! They’ve always got some special promo sub now and then but their staple menu is enough to have you scratching your head at what to choose! Which bread? Meats? Cheese? Vegetables? Sauce? So many awesome choices, so little stomach space 😂

PS I know I’m boring but my standard order is – 6-inch Tuna on Hearty Italian. Cheese and double toasted. Onions, lettuce and jalapenos. Honey Mustard, Sweet Onion and a little Mayo for the sauces 💪🏽

Some finger-licking good fried chicken spotted at KFC! Seasonal specialty items from time to time but I think you’ll agree with me – you can’t go wrong with the classics like some KFC Original Recipe and some Cheese Fries 🤤

FUN FACT: I used to work at Burger King 😝 It was one of my first jobs after school and I guess that may be why BK holds a special place in my heart. Some really great burgers on the menu including the classic Whopper, my personal fave Double Mushroom Swiss and I know everyone loves the Hershey’s Sundae Pie (I do too) but I really love the Taro Pie.
