To celebrate her 41st birthday, Lupita Nyong’o headed to Mexico with none other than her rumored boo, Canadian actor, Joshua Jackson. This comes nearly five months after sparking dating rumors in late October when they were seen at Janelle Monae’s Los Angeles concert following their respective breakups from Selema Masekela and Jodie Turner-Smith.
The duo looked all loved up during Lupita’s birthday weekend in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico. They were spotted taking a romantic walk on the beach on March 3 with Lupita sporting a sexy patterned bikini, while Joshua donned a pair of dark swimming trunks. At one point, the Black Panther star and the Dr. Death actor took each other by the hand as they ran into the waves together. They also shared a passionate kiss, sending the internet abuzz.

Drake was performing at the T-Mobile Center in Kansas City, Missouri when he promised a fan to pay off his late mother’s mortgage. In a now-viral video posted on social media, the rapper gets a note from a fan asking the singer for the due amount. Reading the note, the ”One Dance” hitmaker said, “This is it?“
“You said, ‘[Pay] off my mom’s house, rest in peace.’ Your mom passed away? Alright. And you owe… Oh, this is the outstanding balance right here,” he asked. “This is a lot of money right here. But you know what, Imma pay off your momma’s house for you,” Drake said as the crowd erupted in cheers. To pay off the mortgage, Drake will pay $160,000. “Imma pay out of my pocket. That’s gonna come from me. Rest in peace to your momma,” Drake added.

The city of Boston in Massachusetts, United States, has declared March 2nd as “Burna Boy’s Day” in honor of the Nigerian singer. This was contained in a document of the Boston City Council signed by Councillor Ruthzee Louijeune.
According to the document, Burna Boy was honored in recognition of his “performances and advocacy works.” The document read inter alia: “Boston’s commitment to recognizing and celebrating culture and diversity is evident in the range of cultural events, festivals, and community initiatives that showcase the city’s multicultural landscape and:
“Whereas, Burna Boy’s legacy serves as a reminder of possibility, reminding us to continue amplifying voices that have long been silenced or overlooked, now, therefore be it resolved: That March 2, 2024 is designated Burna Boy Day in the City of Boston.”

4. Coperni unveils its Air Swipe bag made of 99% air
Coperni unveiled its new Air Swipe Bag during its FW24 show at Paris Fashion Week, made of 99 percent air and 1 percent glass. The Parisian fashion house uses NASA’s nanomaterial silica aerogel, the dubbed lightest solid on planet Earth, to create the portable CD player-looking bag. Coperni co-developed the new Air Swipe Bag with Professor Ioannis Michaloudis.
At first glance, the bag has a misty look and a visual resembling frozen and trapped clouds. In the Instagram post revealing the witty creation, the brand said: “Made of NASA’s nanomaterial silica aerogel, the lightest solid on planet Earth. This delicate nanomaterial has been used by NASA to capture stardust. The Air Swipe bag is the biggest ever object made of this space technology nanomaterial.” The Air Swipe bag weighs 33 grams with 27x16x6cm dimensions.

The 2023 African Games will be held in three Ghanaian cities—Accra, Kumasi, and Cape Coast—from March 8 to 23, 2024. The event, which spans 15 days, will feature over 5,000 athletes from all countries across the continent. The 13th edition in Ghana will serve as the Paris 2024 Olympic Games qualifier.
The African Union, in collaboration with the Association of National Olympic Committees of Africa and the Association of African Sports Confederations, jointly organizes the longstanding continental sports festival. A total of 29 sports, divided into three categories, will be featured at the games: Olympic qualifying sports (8), non-Olympic qualifying sports (15), and demonstration sports (6).
