Life Updates & I Can’t Believe I Signed Up for This…

[ad_1]

We are still waking up at 4 am and wondering when we will adjust to our regular schedules. The girls wanted to go on a walk with me, but walking when it is 17° isn’t possible for me, so we went to the indoor track.

They got in some sprints, and Brooke decided to run a mile while we were there, too.

We also worked on some pull-ups. How I did it a few years ago was that I started with just jumping up to the top and trying to hold there for as long as possible and then slowly lowering down. After doing that for a few weeks straight, I could do pull-ups, so I hope this method works again.

Inspiring:

Brooke is teaching Skye sign language!

We had book club the other night. I didn’t get a chance to read the book, but it was ‘How to Be the Love You Seek.’ Our next book is ‘The Women’ by Kristin Hannah, and I am ABSOLUTELY loving it so far. I don’t think Kristin Hannah could write a book I didn’t love.

We went to Sol Agave (honestly, my favorite restaurant in Utah… no exaggeration). If you go there and you don’t think you will like the butter cake, then I will Venmo you to get one to force you to try it. There is no better dessert on the planet.

I’m currently listening to this and also loving it. I first read ‘Anxious People’ by Fredrik Backman, and it was so good that I wanted to read or listen to more from him.

Spain has us walking back and forth to school all the time now.

It’s incredible how much more energy I have to cook when I’m not running 70 miles per week.  These enchiladas won.

Picture horrible, food delicious. PS I did add fresh cooked corn to these which was amazing.

When eight hours is just too long away from each other;)

If my friends sign up for a race, the odds I will sign up for a race, too, are very high.  Race FOMO is real and should be handled with care;).

Will anyone else be running CIM this year?

Do you have a favorite author?  What are you reading right now?

Who knows a foreign language or sign language?

How old were you when you started running?

-My first real run (other than in PE) was with my sister when I was 12 yo.  My mom sent me with her.
