Hideki Matsuyama, Tiger Woods and more pro outfits at Genesis

GETTY
The Genesis Invitational at the famed Riviera Country Club was a tournament to behold. Tiger Woods debuted his new Sun Day Red brand just a few days before he forfeited the tournament due to illness, but the excitement and vibes were still high in SoCal.
Patrick Cantlay fumbled his weekend-long leading position, while Hideki Matsuyama swooped in the last round to clinch the win. Finishing at nine under with a final-round score of 62, Matsuyama was one stroke from beating the course record, but he nonetheless accomplished another highly esteemed feat.
By Matsuyama securing the win at Riviera, he now is the most-decorated Asian-born pro in PGA Tour history. Huge congrats to Hideki Matsuyama on both his win and earning this undeniably impressive title.
Along with his performance on the course, we were also busy admiring Matsuyama’s cheerfully bright yellow outfit during the last round of the Genesis.
It’s always fun to see pros showing their personality on the course through their style.
And, of course, we’re also highlighting Tiger’s all-black sick day outfit, Rory McIlroy’s all-black Nike, along with Patrick Cantlay’s $500 cashmere sweater(s) and Jason Day in a super-fresh Malbon ‘fit.
Pro golfer styles at the Genesis
Keep scrolling for five outfits we loved on pros at the Genesis, including Hideki Matsuyama, Tiger Woods, Rory McIlroy, Patrick Cantlay and Jason Day who wear the following brands: Srixon, Asics, Sun Day Red, Nike, B. Draddy, FootJoy and Malbon.
Hideki Matsuyama — Srixon and Asics
Dressed in a bright golden-yellow and navy Srixon outfit with Asics spiked golf shoes, Matsuyama’s joy shone both emotionally and physically upon securing his new titles.
This pro and his style are an embodiment of competitive fun. You can get his shoes for $50 off right now on Asics.com, available in three colors. Although, it seems Matsuyama is the only guy who gets to rock the yellow version, and that’s ok, considering this is his signature shoe, after all. These are also offered in a wide version.
Asics Gel-Ace Pro M Golf Shoes
$149.95 (was $200)
Introducing Hideki Matsuyama’s signature golf shoe, the GEL-ACE PRO M STANDARD. Ultralight FlyteFoam and heel-side Gel Technology further the tradition of ASICS’ legendary comfort, while a flexible outsole pattern, Proflex Spikes, and X-Shaped TPU Trusstics provide all the stability, traction and support you need to really perform.
Tiger Woods — Sun Day Red
Tiger’s brand, “Sun Day Red,” is expertly crafted and stylishly wearable on and off the course. Check out Tiger in his sleek all-black fit (and super-cool red-soled shoes) from round two (before his flu-like symptoms got the better of him).
Before the Genesis, our team attended the brand launch to get their hands on a few pieces of Tiger’s new and highly coveted merch (which is not yet for sale to the public). Tap here to see the Sun Day Red items Claire Rogers and Sean Zak tried on GOLF’s Seen and Heard at Riviera, or scroll to watch the highlights.
Rory McIlroy — Nike
The last couple of days at Riviera were chillier than most in Pacific Palisades, Calif., so an extra light layer was a necessity.
Scroll down to get a woven Nike belt like Rory’s. In the belt, we’re showing you all three Nike styles which are available in various color options.
