Best White Sneakers For Women With Petite Feet – Beth Ferguson
[ad_1]
If there was only one pair of shoes that I could take on a trip with me, it would be a pair of white sneakers. Let’s face it they are so easy to dress up or down and go with pretty much everything. They are comfortable so you can walk forever. If they are leather, then you can clean them up after a long day of being out and about.
So if you are taking them with you wherever you go, they they must also be a go to shoe when you are at home. This is where I am going to confess. I have more than one pair of white sneakers. Why? There are cute canvas sneakers that I like to wear in the warmer months. Then there are leather white sneakers to wear in the cooler months. Confession over. At least you now know my thought process. I have tried many a brands and styles over the years to find the ones that fit my feet the best.
So before we talk about the sneakers that look good on small feet, I have written a few other posts on shoe styles and shopping for petite feet. I just prefer the term petite feet versus small feet. It just sounds prettier to me.
White Sneakers That Look Great on Petite Feet
Since our white sneakers are a go-to year round we want to make sure that they are comfortable. Many brands will make the same shoe in canvas and leather. While others just make their sneakers in leather. Some of you will need a great no-show sock to wear with them. Others are made to be worn without socks. It just depends on how they are made.
I don’t want to digress, but I am sure that I am not the only one who is always in search of good fitting no show socks. Even the smallest sizes are sometimes too big. My most recent find for my size 5 feet are these socks. They actually fit better than most and don’t ride down. This sock by Margaux is next on my list to try. They are a bit pricey, but it fits a size 3-6. A win for women with very small feet.
Classic White Sneakers – Best to Wear with Dresses
When it classic white sneaker that looks good on small feet there are three brands that immediately come to mind. These white sneakers are so versatile to wear. They look great with jeans, shorts, skirts, or even dresses.
It seems as if I have worn white sneakers for most of my life. Now I am going to date myself. Up until the last few years, I always wore canvas sneakers by Keds. Tretorns were around in the 80s and were very popular. When I saw them reappear in the last few years I was so excited to see their revival in popularity. Again, now there are so many more options.
Keds
So can you remember when Keds only had canvas sneakers and there was just a basic style? Now we can choose between canvas and leather AND there are multiple styles. There are also many color and fabric choices now too. You can find a great selection at Nordstrom and Zappos. Here are some of my favorite styles from this brand.
Tretorn
Tretorn sneakers have been around for a long time. This Swedish company was founded in 10891 and has evolved. I remember when they were popular in the 1980s (I was in high school and college then). I always liked them then and so I was glad to see them become so popular again in the last few years. Now there is a greater selection of white tennis shoe styles and fabrications.
I do love their classic whites, but I must say that if you are looking for a retro sneaker that looks great on petite feet try the Rawlins. They come in some fun color combinations. I have the green and wear them all of the time in the winter.
Here are some of my favorite styles from this brand.
Superga
Superga shoes were born in Italy in 1911. They were originally designed as a tennis shoe for the founder’s wife. It was the first tennis shoe to be made with a rubberized sole. Obviously, the brand has evolved since it’s early days. Now they are known for their simple and clean lines. You can always find a good selection of their shoes at Nordstrom and Zappos. Here are some of my favorite styles of white sneakers from this brand.
Sustainable Sneakers
First things first. What is a sustainable sneaker? It is a shoe/sneaker that is made of natural fibers or upcycled or recycled materials. You can read more about specific materials that are used in shoes here.
Two sneakers come to mind when I think of sustainable sneakers. And yes, both brands are in my closet. So I know that they look good on small feet.
Veja
These sustainably made sneakers are a fan favorite and rightfully so. They are made in Brazil using Brazilian and Peruvian organic cotton, Amazonian rubber for the soles, and other recycled products. You will see the “V” on all of their sneakers. They can be white on white sneakers or the classic white leather sneakers can have different colored “Vs”. You can find them at Nordstrom, Shopbop, or Zappos. I am giving you retailer options because many times these sell out because they are so popular.
The V-10 is the most classic of all of their styles. They also have a more retro style that would also be a great option.
Allbirds
Allbirds are known as the most comfortable shoes in the world. Recently I stopped in my local store to see what the fuss was all about. Well, I came out with a pair of the treen runners in black. I am wearing them as I sit here typing this post. Honestly, I have to agree they are very comfortable. A white pair will most likely make their way into my closet for the warmer months. I like them for wearing around the house and out and about. The great thing about them is that they are 100% washable. The tree pipers would probably be a more versatile/fashionable shoe to go with everything, in my opinion. Either choice would be a great addition if you are looking for an incredibly comfortable shoe.
Luxury White Sneakers
This classic sneaker gets rave reviews. I have seen it come up so many times. If your feet love Italian leather and shoes made in Italy, then Common Projects might be something to put on your wish list. They are on mine.
Need Below or Size 5 or Special Width?
I thought I would put in a section for those of you who have really petite feet or need special widths. My heart goes out to you. It’s hard enough finding my size 5 so I can only imagine what it is like to need a smaller size or a narrow or wide width. There are two brands that I come across regularly when I am searching that should be on your radar screen.
Margaux
Margaux is known for the fact that they start all of their shoes at a size four and go up to size fourteen. They also offer narrow and medium widths. This is not only for their sneakers, but all of their styles. They only have one style of sneaker, but it is a great classic white sneaker.
Marmi Shoes
Marmi Shoes has a great selection of athleisure shoes. Some will start at a size four and others at a size five. Depending upon the style they may also be available in narrow and wide widths. Their white sneakers usually have a little extra personality to them and all of the styles that I have tried have been comfortable. Use can use the code SAS10 for 10% off sitewide.
