What to Know About Applying for U.S. Bank Cards

Here are a few things worth noting regarding U.S. Bank credit card applications:

  • There’s no hard limit on the maximum number of credit cards you can have with U.S. Bank.
  • You can earn the signup bonus even if you have had a card in the past, but you can’t currently have the same card open.
  • The U.S. Bank Altitude® Reserve Visa Infinite® Card requires an existing banking relationship with U.S. Bank. So you need to have an existing bank account, credit card,  or any other banking product before applying.
  • US Bank does NOT report business credit cards to personal credit bureaus, so that should help those trying to stay under 5/24.

Guru’s Wrap-up

Seems like a good product at least for the first year where you pay no annual fee and get a $600 bonus. The card earns 4x on travel, gas and EV charging. You also get a $25 statement credit after every three consecutive monthly taxi or rideshare transactions paid for with your card and four complimentary visits annually for Priority Pass lounges.

You can join the waitlist to get notified when the card becomes available.
