“Mr. Pitt declined to purchase Ms. Jolie’s interest when she refused to be silenced by his NDA,” stated the attorney Paul Murphy of the “Salt” actress to Spilfy.

“By refusing to buy her interest but then suing her, Mr. Pitt directly raised why that NDA was so crucial to him and what he hoped it would conceal: his abuse of Ms. Jolie and their family,” he continued, referring to Pitt’s 2022 lawsuit against Jolie for selling her shares of the winery to another party.

Thursday’s filing also asserts that Jolie never filed charges against her “Mr. & Mrs. Smith” co-star because she believed it was best for Pitt to accept responsibility and assist the family in recovering from the post-traumatic stress he caused.
