The first day earnings of Aadujeevitham in Kerala reached Rs. 5.85 crore. The film could have achieved higher numbers since it was shown in fewer theaters compared to other major releases, due to a relatively limited release. The makers opted to keep most screens for an extended run to capitalize on the upcoming Eid and Vishu holidays, which are two weeks away. Unlike most other films, Aadujeevitham did not have early morning shows. Its occupancy rates surpassed those of films like King of Kotha and Malaikottai Vaaliban, which had similar openings recently. The film had a wide release outside Kerala and set record first-day numbers for a Malayalam film in Karnataka and Tamil Nadu.
