5 New Things Fashion People Are Talking About

[ad_1]

If it seems like fashion news is moving at a mile a minute, well, you’re not alone. Despite our numerous social media feeds and perpetual press releases, it can be hard to keep up with the latest industry news—even as full-time editors—which is why we’re trying something new and boiling it down to just the basics. Here are the five new things fashion people are talking about right now:

A Match Made in Fashion Heaven. In collaboration with Humberto Leon, a new Tory Burch concept store has just opened in Los Angeles at 8483 Melrose Avenue. The duo hosted a celeb-packed dinner at Formosa Cafe to celebrate the exciting partnership. Attendees included Natasha Lyonne, Awkwafina, Aja Naomi King, Kathryn Newton, Rashida Jones, Beatrice Granno, and more—all clad in Tory Burch, naturally. The store features the cat-themed work of German photographer Walter Schels, whose animal portraits appear in Tory Burch’s Resort 2024 collection.

Moncler Jets Off to St. Moritz. Mark your calendars: On February 3, Moncler will stage a sure-to-be-stunning show in the posh Swiss alpine town of St. Moritz. At nearly 6,000 feet, the iconic brand will present its Moncler Grenoble F/W 24 collection of technical mountain apparel, including pieces designed to be worn both on and off the slopes. “The experience will embody the duality at the core of Moncler Grenoble: a coming together of high performance and high style,” the brand said in a statement. The event will no doubt attract a well-dressed crowd, so stay tuned for our coverage on Who What Wear.

Pucci Heads to Rome. After previously showing in Florence back in May, Pucci is now setting its sights on a different Italian city: Rome. The brand and its Artistic Director, Camille Miceli, just announced that a runway show will be held in the capital city on April 4, 2024. “The collection revives Vivara, among the most iconic Pucci prints that dates to 1965 and appears throughout the archives,” Pucci said in a statement.

Van Cleef & Arpels Unveils a New Boutique at South Coast Plaza

Van Cleef & Arpels is looking more beautiful than ever. The over-100-year-old luxury jeweler recently opened its much larger, reimagined boutique in Costa Mesa, California, with two large display rooms, five salons, five specially curated libraries, and a bridal salon, creating an intimate setting for guests to discover the brand.

Notably, design elements throughout the store include Art Deco influences as well as more modern elements, such as the paper sculptures created by French-born artist Marianne Guély. As one of the most magnificent boutiques on the West Coast, the new Van Cleef & Arpels is a spectacular sight to behold—that’s even before you start browsing the jewelry.

Valentino’s New Madison Avenue Flagship in NYC. Valentino has just unveiled a new three-story flagship store in New York City. Located at 654 Madison Avenue, the impressive interior design includes exposed steel columns, onyx and concrete shelving, red Travertino marble, and bespoke glass displays. Come for the fashion, stay for the art: The building’s mezzanine will be dedicated to temporary art installments, the first being Mario Schifano’s large-scale paintings.
