Are you a foster parent? God calls us to care for the widows and orphans. Find encouragement from 30 Bible verses about foster care.

Though Scripture does not implicitly mention the term foster care, it does speak clearly to God’s heart in regard to loving and taking care of children who have been orphaned and are fatherless.

We see God’s call to live justly, and to defend those who cannot defend themselves, and who are more vulnerable than children who have been orphaned, and who are in the foster system.

The beautiful thing about the hope and love that we can share with those who are in foster care, is that the Lord will receive them, and welcome them, even if their earthly parents forsake them.

He is a Father to the fatherless, and we can share that good news with them.

Use these Scriptures on fostering to see what God’s Word has to say about the topic.
