When hard times hit, it can be easy to fall into despair and feel both hopeless and helpless. But as followers of Christ, we don’t need to fret in times of difficulty. 

It is especially in times of hardship when we not only get to learn but get to experience God’s strength in our weakness, and know Him as our true refuge, rock, and ever-present help.

Not only that but when we cling to Christ during hard times, we can hold onto the hope that our current sufferings are nothing compared to the glory that will be revealed when Christ appears. 

Even more, He uses the trials and tribulations of our lives to refine both our faith and our character, so that we might look to Him, and look more like Him. That, and so much more, is what these Bible 25 verses teach us in hard times.

1. Psalm 46:1-3 – He Is An Ever Present Help In Trouble 

“God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble. Therefore we will not fear, though the earth give way and the mountains fall into the heart of the sea, though its waters roar and foam and the mountains quake with their surging.”

2. Isaiah 41:10 – God Will Strengthen You & Help You 

“So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.”

If you make the Most High your dwelling- even the LORD, who is my refuge- then no harm will befall you, no disaster will come near your tent. 

For he will command his angels concerning you to guard you in all your ways; they will lift you up in their hands, so that you will not strike your foot against a stone. You will tread upon the lion and the cobra; you will trample the great lion and the serpent. 

“Because he loves me,” says the LORD, “I will rescue him; I will protect him, for he acknowledges my name. He will call upon me, and I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble, I will deliver him and honor him. With long life will I satisfy him and show him my salvation.”
