What You Need To Know About The RHA® Collection of Fillers: My Before + After
[ad_1]
Aging is inevitable and looking back, I love seeing how much growth and change has happened during that time. I turned 40 years old last year, and while part of me is thinking that is SO OLD , another part of me feels like I’m still just as energetic and youthful as I was in my 20s.
I have noticed that my face has started to reflect those years, and to be sure, my kids also love pointing out every new wrinkle that they find! I’ve never been one to shy away from injectables and have always believed that as long as you do your research when it comes to product and find an experienced injector, the results can look incredibly natural and tasteful.
I recently learned about the RHA Collection of fillers and had some placed in my face. I’ve been over-the-moon happy with the result and am excited to share all the details!
What Is RHA Collection?
RHA stands for Resilient Hyaluronic Acid and the RHA Collection of fillers is designed specifically to treat areas of the face that move — think nasolabial folds, marionette lines, creases on either side of the mouth, etc. RHA is the latest advancement in hyaluronic acid technology with more than 10 years of research backing it’s 2020 launch in the US. RHA Collection is actually the only FDA approved hyaluronic acid filler for dynamic wrinkles and folds!
In comparison with other dermal fillers, RHA uses a gentle manufacturing process which results in a filler that more closely resembles the body’s natural hyaluronic acid. This means results that also look more natural and last longer!
What Areas Did I Treat?
The RHA Collection of fillers is ideal for targeting those areas of the face that have movement, which is why RHA was the best choice in my decision to treat my laugh lines (technically called nasolabial folds). For me in particular, I felt like my laugh lines had become much more noticeable in the past year, and it was even making it look like my face was starting to sag. I didn’t want to do anything invasive when it came to treatment, so I booked an appointment at Lemmon Avenue Plastic Surgery to have a consultation with their injector, Stephanie Fallman.
Injector Stephanie Fallman, RN at Lemmon Ave Plastic Surgery was amazing!
Stephanie Fallman actually suggested that I place RHA filler in my midface area to correct my nasolabial folds. Filler in that area would actually lift up that fold as well as provide an overall more youthful appearance — I was all for it! I also had the beginnings of some lines around either side of my mouth (technically called oral commissures) that would also be ideal for RHA filler and would even fix my naturally downturned mouth — hopefully that means less rbf for me!
The injection itself was quick and painless — the RHA filler actually incorporates lidocaine, an anesthetic, so there was minimal discomfort! I had some initial swelling after my injection that lasted less than an hour, but did have slight bruising for about a week afterward which can happen. (Disclaimer: I’ve always bruised easily — applying arnica definitely helps speed up bruise recovery if you’re like me!)
My RHA Results
RHA filler before/after
Can you believe these photos were taken 10 days apart? The difference is subtle but it’s definitely noticeable when compared side by side. I honestly love that it’s a difference that’s kinda hard to pinpoint if you were just to look at an “after” photo. Looking like a well-rested version of myself is always the goal!
The best part is that the RHA Collection of fillers lasts 15 months — longer than other filler options and is a result of the gentle manufacturing process involved for producing RHA.
I love that we have more options than ever when it comes to aging gracefully. I never want to deny my age but I also want my appearance to reflect the best version of me! I’ve been whole-heartedly impressed with the results of my RHA filler and highly recommend if you’re looking for a non-invasive way to refresh your appearance.
