Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) men’s team made sure that they made Smriti Mandhana & Co. feel special as they entered their den in M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru. This comes after the Women’s team won the Women’s Premier League (WPL) 2024.
The Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) unbox event is underway at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru ahead of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024. The event has kept many excited and to grace the occasion, the Women’s team also arrived at the Stadium.
What caught the attention of many was as they arrived in the Stadium with the Women Premier League (WPL) Trophy, they got a guard of honor from the Faf du Plessis & Co. As Smriti Mandhana walked out on the ground with the trophy, all the men’s team players including Virat Kohli applauded them.
The RCB women’s team skipper Smriti Mandhana along with the trophy and other teammates were seen giving a lap of honour to the crowd. The video of the incident went viral on the internet and saw many applauding the men’s team for their gesture:

RCB women’s team were exceptional in the recently concluded Women’s Premier League. They played a magnificent brand of cricket throughout the entire tournament. Although they were down at several stages but they made sure that they lifted themselves up and scripted history.
Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) women ended the league stage at No.3 on the points table with 4 wins under the belt. They locked horns with Mumbai Indians in the eliminator. The Smriti Mandhana-led side looked clueless for most part of the game but the way they made a comeback in the game was remarkable.
They clinched the game from the jaws of defeat and lined themselves up to play with Delhi Capitals in the final RCB made sure that they brought their best in the summit clash as they dominated the opposition and won the title. This was the first time the franchise won any title.

The women’s team winning the WPL would’ve now have put pressure on the men’s team to achieve the same in the IPL 2024. They will play the tournament opener against Chennai Super Kings (CSK) at the Chepauk Stadium in Chennai on 22nd March. They would be eager to achieve the same feat as the Women’s team and their fans have everything to cheer about.
