This sweet and tangy lemonade with floral notes is the perfect spring afternoon drink! Made with real lemons and cherry blossom syrup.
Nothing is more iconically spring than rows of trees loaded with pink cherry blossoms, also known as “sakura”.
This year, I’ve been infusing all my beverages with the light and sweet flavor of those delicate little blossoms. The sakura matcha latte has been my favorite caffeinated drink so far, but what about when I need something that won’t give me energy?
That’s where this delicious and refreshing sakura lemonade comes in! It’s the ultimate spring afternoon drink. I love having one in the backyard after finishing my gardening for the day.
Ingredients
- Lemon juice – I always recommend using fresh squeezed lemon juice as bottles has preservatives that negatively alter the flavor.
- Simple Syrup – You can use store-bought or homemade. If you want to make your own, just use a 1:1 water to sugar ratio. Dissolve the sugar in the water over low-heat.
- Cherry Blossom Syrup – I use Monin Cherry Blossom syrup. You might be able to find sakura powder cheaper. You can dissolve 1 teaspoon in 1.5 ounce of simple syrup as a substitute.
- Water – You’ll need water to tone down the acidity. I recommend using purified or spring water.

Tips
- Like your lemonade bubbly? Add sparkling water or club soda instead of flat water.
- Add more depth to the flavor of this drink by using vanilla syrup in place of the simple syrup.
