St. Croix is quite a versatile tropical destination. Its white-sand beaches and rum distilleries make it the perfect place to kick back and soak in the Caribbean vibes, while its diverse culinary options make it a foodie paradise. If you want a more active vacation, you can enjoy hiking and excellent diving opportunities.

So, this new fare sale to the largest of the main U.S. Virgin Islands is appealing to many types of travelers.

The travel window for this deal is from April to May of this year and December through February of 2025. The best availability involves flights out of New York City, but there are bargains to be found in Newark, too.

As with many fare sales, this one involves basic economy tickets. American and Delta both offer free carry-ons with their economy tier. Expect to pay around $35-$45 each way if you want to check luggage.

After May, we didn’t really see any more big discounts for this route until we looked at the end of the 2024 calendar. That’s where we found some truly stellar savings, like this round-trip route from JFK to STX in early December on American for only $295.

According to Google Flights, that flight during the holiday season should cost more than $700, making this an epic markdown.

What about February, you ask? We found decent availability on round-trip flights between New York City and St. Croix for $252 in February.
